Jon and I met on February 15th, 2002 at an LDS Stake Dance. We grew to be great friends over the spring/summer of '02. Jon left in December of 2002 to serve a mission for our Church in Nicaragua. We continued our friendship throughout his mission, writing letters every week. He returned home in December 2004. It didn't take long for me to convince him I was certain he was the one. Four months into dating he purposed and four months later we were married - August 5th, 2005.
Three and half years later (Feb 2009) our oldest son Andrew joined our family. He instantly stole our hearts and we knew we couldn't wait long for another one...and we didn't. In August of 2010 we welcomed a second little boy into our family, Kenneth. Andrew took to Kenneth better than I could ever have imagined. They are best buds. They bring so much meaning, purpose, laughter, and tears to our family and I wouldn't have it any other way. We feel truly blessed to be in charge of these sweet boys.
Also in 2009-2010, Jon and I embarked (mostly Jon) in building our very first home. It was such a trying and hard time for us, but we are grateul for the home we have now. We are excited about all the experiences and opportunities having a home and property will give us. We look forward to continuing finishing our home and are grateful for the support we have been given during the process!
We are trying to balance our "to-do list," while stopping to relax and enjoy the journey! We love being together, playing card or board games, outdoor adventures, sports, and country music! We look forward to the future, but are happily engaged in the present!
