You walk into Papa Murphy's with your oldest son and the following situation takes place...
Employee "Do you know what you want?"
Me: "Yes, I want the hawaiian on delite crust extra sauce on the bottom, and an extra cup of sauce on the side."
Employee "Fills out my request."
Me: "Oh and I have a coupon for free cheesy bread."
Me: (watch the employee fill out my name, trying to remember if I told him it or not)
Me: "Wait, do you know my name?"
Employee "Yes."
Me: "Oh my gosh! I don't think that's a good thing, I mean, I suppose it is for you, good memory, or maybe it means we eat pizza way too often."
Employee: (Kindly smiles, unsure how to respond)
Me: (Notice others in the store chuckling).
Me: Unaware of how to respond to what just happened I pay for the pizza and awkwardly wait for it, so my son and I can hurry and get out of there.
In my family's defense, we probably only eat pizza out 2ce a month, and 97% of the time I use a coupon (normally we don't get anything other than one pizza either). Plus we do eat one of the healthiest pizza's out there, so I think that gives me a little saving grace.
All in all though, I think it's safe to say, I am putting my family on a little pizza fast.

Lunch with Daddy & The Puget Sound
A couple days ago we met Jon for lunch. He was out near Shelton building a shed for someone and they just happen to have property on Puget Sound, so we all walked down and the kids had a blast throwing all sorts of seashells in the water. We stayed and played for a while, but eventually we had to go and let Jon get back to work. It was so nice to go visit him, and enjoy the beautiful outdoors and Puget Sound!

I need to vent a little bit. I am completely and totally annoyed by Facebook. Not by the actual sight, but by how people use it. Call me old fashioned, but I like to find out important things in your life, by a phone call or an email, or a letter. I absolutely HATE that I have been finding out special moments and events in family's and friends life through facebook. How hard is it to call and say "____________?" I'm not saying that people shouldn't announce special events on facebook, I mean let's be real, it's the easiest way to reach everyone in one shot. I am frustrated that I (me imparticular) am finding out special events through there about my family and closest friends. I love my family and friends and I suppose I just wish that I was worth the call, not just a public announcement for whoever wants to know. Nearly everything inside of me wants to close my facebook account, but I am torn because I know if I do that then I would NEVER find out about the things going on in my loved ones lives (seeing as how that's where I found out I missed these important events already). As of the other day, I deleted everything on my facebook account aside from my profile picture. I just don't know what to do? I know that I have work to do and can do better and call my family and friends more to check in on their lives and get updated on those important events, who knows, maybe then I would solve my own dilemma.
Yauger Park & Doctor Exams
We ended February with a day at the park. This is a big deal for us. I tend to never take my kids anywhere! I know, horrible mom award, but on this particular day I promised Andrew we would and although it was still chilly, I knew we needed to go, so we did! Both of the kids were having a blast. Andrew especially loved everything about the park, KB did too until the slide. He was doing great and was having fun going down a little slide, so I decided to take him on a bigger slide, it was a spiral slide. I took him up the tower and onto the slide, and held onto him as we went down. Lesson learned - the slide was WAY too small for someone my size (it really is just meant for kids), my legs were getting caught around every turn, so I kept having to readjust my legs, let's just say I was glad to be done with the slide. And apparently so was Kenneth. When we finally got off the slide, he started crying, a lot. I could hardly calm him down. I thought I had just scared him (it wouldn't be until 11pm that night that I realized something else had happened). The rest of the time spent at the park (another hour) was a little miserable. Andrew was still playing and having a blast, but Kenneth did nothing but cry. He wouldn't let me set him down, he didn't want to play on any toy. I had no idea why he was acting that way. The time spent at the park ended up being a semi-success, read below to find out why.
Now, fast forward to the end of the evening. We tried putting Kenneth down for bed at around 8pm, and no success, he just screamed. So, we took him out and decided to let him run around and play some more, but he wouldn't, he just wanted to be held. Finally Jon and I looked at each other and realized this was out of his character and something must really be wrong. We decided to give him some children's tylenol and about 15 minutes later, Kenneth was feeling better and was ready to get down and play (this was at about 11pm). He got down off the couch and as he went to start walking, he instantly fell! Finally, we could see why he was acting so funny. While going down the slide with me, somehow a part of his hip, leg, knee, or ankle, had gotten injured and he couldn't even stand up, let alone walk. Thankfully, (good timing) both the kids had well-child checks the next morning where I intended to discuss it with his doctor if it hadn't gotten better. Tuesday morning came and he was still whiney and couldn't stand, so at the doctors office I explained what had happened and because Kenneth can't quite tell us which part of his leg hurt and he couldn't stand or walk to allow the doctor to see what was wrong, she scheduled x-rays on his hips, knees, and feet. So, 4 hours later (we went straight from appts, to x-rays), we were finally ready to go home. We found out a couple hours later that nothing appeared to be broken, but if he still wasn't acting like himself he would see the pediatrician on Thursday. Wednesday came and Kenneth started walking on it, not a lot, but it seemed to be getting better, so I cancelled the appt. His leg/foot seemed to be getting better over the weekend, although we did notice a limp on his right leg, he was walking on it more and acting more like himself. We are grateful nothing was broken and that he now no longer has a limp and is back to himself. We are excited to go back to the park and have it be a complete success!
Birthday Cake
As I mentioned prior, I had a fabulous birthday! My family made me feel extra special, I had such a great weekend, but one thing that is quite funny is when I saw my father-in-law that day. As he handed me balloons he asked me if Jon was going to be making me a birthday cake, I quickly responded "probably not, he never has." To which he replied, "well I'd better go buy him one so you get one...." I told him he didn't need too, cause we had plenty of cake at home, Jon just never seems to make me a birthday cake. It's never been a big deal to me, but while we were at dinner, I asked him why he has never made me a birthday cake, and he didn't really have an answer, he just never had. Well what I said at dinner, must've stuck with him, because a couple days later I came home to find the most delicious birthday cake!!! It was sooo good, I ate way more than I should (maybe that's why we don't have it). Either way it was such a sweet surprise and I thoroughly enjoyed it. So here's to many more birthdays with birthday cake!!!
