Progress....

It has been a long process and I'm pleased to announce we are making progress! Because of the stressful situation it has been we have definitely kept it quiet, but we are making good forward tracks and so I'm pleased to announce that we are building our very first home! We will be purchasing Jon's parents old property (also where he grew up) which is just shy of 4 acres, and absolutely beautiful! Our home will be 2 stories, 1200sq per floor, and I am sooo excited for some more room. We have severly outgrown our apartment and I can't wait for our home to be finished...a place to truly call home! I am sooo proud of my husband and the hard work he puts in, he will be building our home himself, with the help of family and friends! I am grateful to have a husband who works so hard, and knows what he's doing and how to get it done!

To explain some of the pictures: It was a tricky process, but we are building our home where an office used to be located. We are completely tearing down the office (and only leaving a bathroom), and rebuilding our home on that slab, plus another 6' off the front and 14' off the side. The pictures show the office (or what used to be the office), and you can kind of see the slab we added. I hope you Enjoy!!!

Andrew was GREAT! He sat in the back of my dads truck for a while and just watched.
The front of what used to be the office
The side of the old office
About to tear the roof off! Jon's dad drove the back hoe onto the foundation and lifted and tore it right off!

The roof is off, now time to clean up - we are making good progress, but still have lots to do!

Fun Andrew Videos

Below are a couple random videos we have taken of Andrew.

This is the face Andrew makes when he wants our Food...we see this face multiple times a day! :-)

Andrew learned how to pull our dresser drawers in and out, unfortunately this video isn't the best, he was pulling it in and out really fast and making lots of funny noises, but that video is on my cell phone and I haven't been able to get it off yet, so this one will have to do.

Andrew loves playing! He has also learned how to do the "indian chant" and also he loves giving H-Fives!!!
No, No, No!!! This video is the absolute best, gives a little taste into what I deal with all day long!!! He is adorable and does the NO to me all the time! I can't help but laugh because of how cute he is when he does it (big smile on his face). He learns and picks up on things Jon and I do all the time, we love him, and enjoy watching him grow!

Daily Adventures

Sorry it has been such a long time since my last post. My excuse is that I have a daily routine with Andrew, and there is rarely anything super exciting that goes on in which I feel merits posting about. However, I figured I would give a little Andrew update and explain his daily adventures. As far as Andrew himself goes, he is getting WAY too big, too fast! He weighs about 24lbs and is 31" tall. Needless to say, he can reach over all our nightstands, dresser, vanity, kitchen table, and anything else around that height. He has learned how to open cupboard doors, and absolutely loves throwing our blender out onto the floor (I'm sure one of these days he will break it). He also thoroughly enjoys the bathroom, his favorite thing to do is unroll all of our toilet paper, which is a joy to try and roll back up. He also loves the refrigerator, if you open it, he makes a b-line towards you to try and get into it. He has a fond admiration for the garage....WE DON'T Leave the door open!!! I made that accident once, and caught him just as he was falling off the ledge into the garage...nothing seems to stop this boy. He is always falling and smacking his head on everything. He now has a cute little scar on the bottom of his chin, (he had a fight with our tv stand, and he lost). He also has a nasty scrape on his finger from smashing his hand inbetween the glass doors on our tv stand (he decided to pull his smashed finger out taking the flesh with it, before I could grab him and open the door). Andrew eats anything he can get his grubby little fingers on, which usually is grown-up food. He has 4 teeth now, 2 front bottom ones, and 2 top side teeth. He talks a lot more now, usually I can hear him say mommy when he really wants something, or is hurt. He is almost always happy and smiling, and he is just an all-around great little boy! I think that is it for him and his adventures as of lately, below are just some fun random pictures of him and the mischief he gets into, so enjoy!

That's right, Andrew is eating a pig in a blanket....ie a hot dog wrapped in a roll. He loved it! (Don't worry Grandma L, we didn't really let him eat it like this, we cut it up and only gave him a few pieces)!
One of the many funny faces I get during the day
This CUTE outfit is from his Aunt Janell & Uncle Jason, we LOVE it!!! He's our little animal!

Trying to get into his high chair--he's always climbing in and out of this thing. Usually he stands inside of it until him and the chair fall over..
This is Andrew's passport picture, we couldn't have asked for a better one, he looks like such a stud! This picture is definately one of our Favorites and the duplicate will be going into his scrapbook!

Pumpkin Patch & Halloween

Sorry I didn't get these pictures up sooner, Andrew and I have been really sick with fevers, colds, and sore throats. Andrew had his 9 month check-up yesterday and he is now 29.5" tall, and 22.5 lbs! He is crawling everywhere and is so much fun to have around! He is happy, smiling and making funny faces all the time!

Quick Andrew Update

Just some quick news. I spoke with the doctor and Andrew's ultrasound results finally came in, and his kidneys are fine!! That's what we were hoping for. At this point, it just means that the antibiotics are working, and there is no infection! He should have another ultrasound in a couple months to continue tracking his kidneys, and then in probably about 6 months or so he will have another VCUG test and that test should determine whether or not he has to have surgery, but that is still months away, so we will tackle that obstacle when we come to it!

Birthday Present

My birthday present from my sweet mom this year was to buy me a new outfit, however after giving birth to my little boy a day before my birthday, I decided to wait until I was down to a weight and size I felt good in. Needless to say, I am there and we went shopping! We had a great day, and it was a lot of fun spending the day with her! Below is the outfit she bought me. I LOVE it, and couldn't be happier! I am so glad I waited and am even more pleased with the outfit we found! Thanks mom for a great day and birthday present!!

Crawling!!!

It has been a quite a while since our last update, and I'll let you in on some things that have been happening. Andrew is growing sooo fast, and we can't believe he is already 8 months old! It has been a wonderful journey and we are so in love with our little guy. Andrew loves to eat!!! He will eat just about anything, he's not a fan of vegetables, but he will eat them so long as I mix them with something sweet. We can't get him to drink out of ANY bottle (little frustrating), he won't take a normal bottle, sippy cup, water bottle...nothing, that has been our challenge as of lately. He is making a ton of silly faces, and we love it! He is such a little cutie. Also our exciting news is that Andrew can finally CRAWL!!!! He doesn't do it very often (he prefers to scoot), but I am so happy he can do it. Also in the life of Andrew - he has figured out how to pull himself up in his crib!!! It's adorable, because as you see below he just sits on his knees and chews on the crib while making the sweetest faces. Because of Andrew's size, he will now be on the lowest setting of his crib...they grow so fast! One more side note, Andrew has both of his front bottom teeth and more are coming! I think that's it for him....I am still waiting for his ultrasound results to come back and when they do I will fill everyone in. As for Jon, we celebrated his 26th BIRTHDAY on October 2nd! I planned a special night for just the two of us to surprise him (sorry we didn't take any pictures), I went ahead and booked us a night stay in downtown Seattle at the Grand Hyatt! He was shocked and we had an absolute blast! My sweet sister-in-law Julianna was willing to watch Andrew for the weekend while Jon and I had some alone time, it was fantastic! We went out to dinner, went to pike place market, played games at game world (while waiting for dinner), and then of course we went to Babies "R" Us and bought our little boy some toys! It was a special weekend and I'm wishing my sweet Husband another wonderful Year!!! As for me, I am just staying busy with Andrew! I love my little guy and am so blessed to be able to stay home and play with my him! I think that's it in the Life of the Leavitts! Enjoy the pictures of our every growing little man!

Andrew can finally crawl!!! He started on Oct. 1st (8 months old)!!! You'll have to excuse the video... It was taken on my cell phone and isn't 100% clear, You'll also have to excuse me on the video I was really excited for my little guy and started screaming, it sounds kinda silly on video, but I can't help it! :-) He still chooses to army crawl his way around, I think it's because he's more used to it, and it's easier for him right now, but he's shown me he can do it now, and I couldn't be happier!!
