Mother's Day

I had a FABULOUS Mother's Day! I am one lucky momma. Jon spoiled me with a delicious breakfast - hashbrown, egg, turkey bacon filled biscuits and a sweet gift. I had mentioned to him that I would like to replace my flat iron, because mine is over 10yrs old and every time I use it I get a blister on my thumb from squeezing it closed. Needless to say, I wasn't expecting it for Mother's Day (or anyday soon really), but him and Andrew went out and picked me out the one I had been eyeing, and I LOVE it!
Right before we ate breakfast

We had a beautiful day at church, then we headed out to Jon's parents house for lunch, where we celebrated with his Family, and around 5pm, we were at my parent's house for dinner. I am so blessed to have a wonderful and loving mom. She helped shape me into who I am today and I could not be more grateful. I know my Mom is always there when I need her and I know I can trust and come to her with anything. I am also grateful for a wonderful Mother (in-law) who has welcomed and accepted me as one of her daughters. I have truly felt that our relationship has blossomed over this past year. Although the holidays are always a little crazy, we are so lucky to live by both our Mother's and be able to share our experiences and learn and grow for each of them. Thank you to both our Mom's for always being people we can look up too. We love you!!!

Now, as grateful as I am for the Mom's in my life, I am eternally blessed with the fact that I am a Mother. I have the sweetest, craziest, most energetic boys a mommy could ask for. To say they keep me busy is an understatement. At times, they try my patience, make me frustrated, and just do things that make me crazy, but then there is the majority of the time where they are loving, kind, gracious, helpful, and they fill my life with more love, smiles, laughter, and tears than I ever thought possible. I love these two boys with all my heart and couldn't have asked for better sons. I am grateful that my Heavenly Father entrusted me with their care! Thank you Andrew and Kenneth for allowing me to be your Mother!
